Quality Shipping Containers for Sale

From storage on your property to full-scale shipping needs, Bon Trade offers new and used shipping containers in a range of sizes — backed by the same logistics expertise we’ve built shipping freight to the Caribbean since 1984.

Containers for Every Need

Whether you need extra storage space, a container for a shipping project, or a unit to convert for another use, Bon Trade sources and sells both new and used shipping containers. [Assumption — confirm:] we offer standard 20′ and 40′ units, including 40′ High Cube, in a range of conditions from Cargo-Worthy (CW) to Wind & Water Tight (WWT) to brand new “one-trip” containers.

  • New Containers — Assumption: “one-trip” units, used only once to transport cargo from the factory — the closest thing to brand new.
  • Used Containers — Inspected and graded units at a range of price points, ideal for storage or budget-conscious shipping projects.
  • Multiple Sizes Available — 20′, 40′, 40′ High Cube, 40’ Reefer units (when available) and containers with side doors.
  • Delivery Coordination — Containers are sold Ex works at local container yards in Miami, FL for pickup.
  • Modification-Ready Units — Containers are sold for shipping cargo and are suitable for conversion into storage, workshops, or pop-up structures. Containers are sold with inspection and survey report required by all carriers to accept the container for carriage. This will also protect your interest and investment to meet minimum requirements. Containers are sold in as is condition, which will be documented by the surveyor and his report. Containers that do not meet minimum requirements for the condition advertised (cargo worthy, etc.) will fail inspection and will be replaced with another unit that will meet the survey minimum requirements.
  • Backed by Logistics Expertise — Unlike a general container reseller, Bon Trade’s decades of freight and NVOCC experience mean we understand handling, documentation, and delivery logistics inside and out.

What’s the difference between a new and used container?

New (“one-trip”) containers have made only a single voyage from the manufacturer and look virtually unused. Used containers vary in condition and are graded and priced accordingly, offering a more budget-friendly option. Cargo worthy containers have minimum standard to observe, and aesthetics is not necessarily one of them. A rusty container may be structurally sound, and in very good condition, but need a paint job.

What sizes do you offer?

These are the sizes we offer: 20′, 40′, and 40′ high cube.

Can I use a container for storage instead of shipping?

Yes — many customers purchase containers purely for on-site storage.

Do you deliver the container to my location?

Our container sourcing service is primarily for export of cargo out of the U.S. For this reason, we sell mostly new and used containers in cargo worthy condition. When doing so, chassis’ will be made available for pickup and shipping. Local deliveries are not offered and we will do our best to assist.

How long does it take to get a container after I order?

Containers are in the condition advertised (cargo worthy, etc.) when sold. However, due to the survey process, to have the container ready for pickup and acceptable to ocean export carriers, there is a Leadtime of 1 to 2 weeks for containers to be ready for pickup by local cartage companies.

Can I inspect the container before purchasing?

Due to how containers are stored and brokered, inspections before purchase are generally not possible. Most yards also do not allow people who are not surveyors to enter the yard to view containers due to restrictions from their insurance company.

Do you offer any warranty or guarantee on used containers?

Containers are sold as is and subject to the survey. A container that is sold as a cargo worthy container must meet cargo worthy standards. If another surveyor takes exception and downgrades the container a third survey must be requested to determine the true condition of the container. If 2 surveys, out of 3, classifies the container as a lower grade it will be replaced. However, once the container leaves the yard it is considered accepted as graded by the surveyor.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit cards, PayPal, PayCargo (in qualifying situations), bank transfers and cash payments not to exceed $7500.00.
